MR REID'S FINANCE.
Bocoivod Jnno 12, 10.40 p.m. Sydney, Tuesday. In the Assembly the interim report of the committee appointed to inquire into the finances of the colony was tabled. It deals with four and a half years to June, 1899, during which Mr Reid's cash system was in operation. It shows that the period ended with a deficit of £1,049,000, including an inherited debit of £125,000. It condemns the system as misleading, not showing the actual year's expenditure against the year's revenue. ,
