Christchdrch, Tuesday. < Mr C. Lewis, M.H.R., addressed a fair c meeting of electors at the Theatre Royal, ] to-night. He criticised adversely the Old Age Pensions Act, the state of ■ the Civil Service, and the roads and bridges policy of the present Government. He advocated local government reform, and defended the Opposition in its alleged bitter and acrimonious criticism of the Government.
