Colonel David F. Lewis, formerly of the ' Cheshire Regiment, but on specjsjijSsrvice t in Egypt Bince 1888, is gazettejipvernor i of Sennaar, on the Blue Nil^^O miles ' S.S.E. of Khartoum. Iff I Colonel Herbert Walter Jackson, in command of the Hth Soudanese In- < fantry, who has been on active service in < Egypt ever since 1882, is appointed ' Governor of Fasboda. '
