HAWKE'S BAY LAND BOARD.

Friday, January 20. Present — Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairman), Messrs Hall, Hyde, and Groom. CORRESPONDENCE. The following correspondence was read and dealt with : — ' Crown lands ranger, reporting on unsold sections m Mabia township, ocoupied by Messrs Niccols and Noye. — Received. T. B. Marshall, reporting on Woodville village settlement. — Received. A. Bosenberg, asking for permission to sub-lease section 29, Woodville village settlement, for 18 months.— Could not be entertained. Mrs Clearkin, Mrs Duncan, and Mr A. F. Gallien, applying for extension of time to pay rent. — One month's extension granted in each, case, TRANSFERS. The following transfers of licenses were granted.-— C. L. Evensen to B. Olsen, Norsewood ; H. Bbrry to M. J. O'Kelly, Elsthorpe ; T. A. Browne to B. H. Norman, Norsewood ; AY. J. M'Dougall to T. F. Brown, Opoiti ; C. E. Ward to A. C. Ward, Weber. MISCELLANEOUS. Tho Board considered the case of the selectors in arrears with July instalments, and resolved that all selectors in arears be written to and informed that their leases will be forfeited unless arrears are paid by February 16th. M rs E. Bunning's application to acquire freehold of section 3, block 16, Tahoraite, was granted. Proposals from Jvumeroa Koad Board amounting to ,£l9 8s 9d were approved. It was decided that A Gilmour be allowed to acquire tho freehold of section 10, block 15, Tahoraite, under the necessitous circumstances of the case. The Board then adjourned.
