Auckland, Thursday. The total yield of gold for the past month was .£30,929, and for January 1898 .£18,357. The complete return for the Auckland province for the past year is now completed. The total for 1898 was against 4402,601 for 1897 ; increase, 4166,890.
Cardigan mine crushed 18 tons for .£247 worth of bullion ; Kuranui Caledonian tributers crushed 72 loads and 13Glb picked stone for bullion worth .£467.
The Moanatairi tributers crushed 73 tons of stuff and 1591 bof picked stone for gold valued at .£461.
