KILLED BY LIGHTNING
TiJT 'fEJjEORArH.I Blenheim, Wednesday, During a heavy thunderstorm which occurred this afternoon a man named C. Gofi: and the horse he was riding were killed by lightning. A resident o£ Renwicktown found tho bodies on the riverbed a short cliatsßCP frpi» tfjat place. Qoff was considerably blackened and burnt. Another horse which' deceased wa9 leading was standing by paralysed in the hind-qu'artera. GolF was a farm laborer at Eenwiok, aged 29 years. He leaven a widow p,i>fi four children. The storm was heaviest at ltenwicjttown, some of the flashes being dazzljng.
