CRICKET.
4 THE NEW ZEALANDEES' TOUR. OPINION OF AN OLD REP. ; [bt telegraph.] Christchumh, Friday. Fisher and Frankish have both obtained leave to visit Australia with the New Zealand cricket team. The Council is fully determined to keep to the engagement. In an interview to-day, F. Wilding, one of the oldest cricketers in the colony, said that the team was a good representative one, though not the best. He was glad to see Sims and Ashbolt included, both being young New Zealanders to whom the experience would be invaluable. He thought the tour should not on any account be abandoned.
