The Hawko'a Bay hounds met) on Wndnefiday last at O/nawharn, the residence of Mr Sydney Johnston, TMb meet had been looked forward to by hunting m 3D, knowing io to be one of the beat pleoe.i of oonntiy the hounds have the privilege of running over, The field was one of the biggest I have Been out this season, The whole of the hunt were invited to luncheon, and wera entertained by Mr and Mra Johnston. Aa the visitors filed out from lnnoh on to the lawn Mr Jtnkson, the huntsman, trobted up with the honnds (15 oonples). The Master elected to draw some plantations near the w; olwashi Unfortunately these proved bit ik. We then tried the open country with no better success. As it was now getting late the Master had a drag laid back to O.uawham over three miles of grand hunting country. Tuns ended one of the n oat enjoyable days of the season. Herriok, W. Einroai White, J. Groome, Jameo Worrall, Oswald Johnston, Dr. Qodfray, M. Poison, J Vincent, — . Davles, M. E. Groome. and Field. This meet balng the extreme end of our hunting oountry there were a ereat number of loosl gentlemen whose names I did not oatch. On wheels I notioed Mr and Mrs Johnston, Captain and Mrs W. R. Kuonell, Mrs J. L. Her- J rick, Mrs Eiuross White, Mra Worrall, Miss T, Irjglls, and rrnny others.
