The sub-committee of the Banking Committee met at 10 o'clock this morning, and adopted Mr Gulnness's notices of motion referring to the Guthrle companies, whloh had baen postponed pending proof of their relevancy to the Order of Keferonoe. Mr Guinness adduced evidence that the Bank of New Zealand waived Interest on Guthrle and Co.'s debentures held by the Estates Company.— Mr Hutchison argued that there was no writing off of Interest, bat an allowance of £20,000 on ponpotfog claims. — The Premier argued that this was tantamount, to writing off, , Mr Hutohlaon's notices of motion re- , gardiog the produetlon of the various statements of tbe Bank of New Zealand were agreed to with slight amendments ; also the produetlon of statements by Mr Foster regarding the Gtobo assets and the debt of the Auckland Agricultural Company.
