The Bub-committee met again at 3,45 this afternoon and proceeded to review the notices of motion tabled by Mr Hutchison. Among the amendments introduced was one by the Premier to call npon the bank to produce copies of all entiles in the books respecting writings, off since 1888. The clause referring to the prodnotlon of the share register of the bank was excised ; and clause 3, relating to the mloate book, was altered so as to include particular of writlngs-off. On the qaeatlon of producing the debentures of tne Ward Association held by the bank, the Premier objected on the ground that the clause w»s bayond the Order of Reference. Unless there were writings - off the committee had no more right to demand tho production oi the Ward dobentures than those of Gntbrio nnd Co., tbe Fine Company, or the Gear Meat Company. He moved that the ciause be excised. — Mr Montgomery contended that the recont Court) proceedings had ohown a connection between the Ward Association and the bank, He suggested while doubt existed as to the connection the olauses be postponed.—Mr Hutchison said the judgment by Judge Williams had distinctly impl!« cated the Ward Association.— The Premier denied there was any judgment.
