The usual weekly meeting of the Hawked Bay Kugby Union wan held last evening io. the Criterion Hotel, at 6 O'clock. Present — Messrs F. Logan (chairman), A. C. Bennett, H. C. Wilson, Brewer, W, O'Connell, Tnckwell, A. 0. Norrls, Bertrand, Kenouf, Cowell, Swan, G. Fleming, and W. J. Held (hon. Bee) The West End Football Club wao granted permission to hold a practice match on the Recreation Ground next Satnrday, at the conclusion of the NapierTe Ante match.

Oar Wafpawa correspondent ■writing yesterday says:— The Waipawa Rngby Union met at the Takapau Hotel yesterday afternoon. Present — Messrs 6. Lloyd (Id the chair). T. Hobaon, W. H. J. Bennett, Jf. P. Tuckey, W. C. Gavin, and C. M, Whititington Correspondence was received from the Danevirke Club, stating that they would enter a team for the junior championship ; and from South Norsewood, asking for Information abonl) the junior championship. — A protest was received from the Takapsn Club, claiming that Brook, who played for Waipawa at the matoh last week, woa not eligible ] to compete.
