Much-Ado led past the stand with Brin next, while Rotorua refused. At Cutts' Much-Ado was still In front and showed the way down the back stretch with Brin next and Vagabond and Repo following in the order named. At the kennels Muchado was still In front, hut at the top turn Brin and Vagabond clO3ed up and the three landed In the straight) well clear of the others. At the last fence Vagabond was alighbly in front, and drawing oub on the flat won by a couple of lengths from Muoh-Ado with Brin three lengths from them third. Time, 3min 13sec. War Dance led over the first fence and on past tbe stand, with The Bishop and Gillie next, Passing Cutta' War Dance, Gillie, and The Bishop were all together, bnt as they ran down the back stretch War Dance drew oat again and pasced the kennels with Invader as his Immediate attendant, and Gillie, Victim, and Variety following in the order named. At 1 the top turn War Dance was still in command, with Giljle and Invader next, while Variety had commenced to move up. War Dance was first over the last fence, where Social Pest fell. Oaco on the flit War Dince was beaten, aud Invader taking command went on and won comfortably by a couple of lengths from Sillie, with Variety a ueck away third. Time, 3min 36i£jec. Despised jumped awny in front and led -over the first fence, and on past the stand with Roecius next, aud Liberator, Anstral, Mutiny, Norton, and Booties following in the order named, with Chrystal last. Passing Cutta', Rosclus joined Despised, but the latter drew ont again and showed the way down the back stretch, with Liberator some distance away third, Mutiny fourth, and Norton next. At the kennels Austral refused, and Liberator and Kosoius ran np to the leader, but Despised was again in front at tbe top tnrn, and landed in the straight just in front of Rosclas, with Liberator, Norton, Mutiny, and Booties following. As they swept past the stand Mutiny nnd Rosclus closed on the leader, and the order as they passed Unite' was Despised, Koscine, Matiuy, and Liberator, all clo?e together. At the next fence Despised fell, and Mutiny taking command, ran down the back stretch well dear of Roecins, with Norton next, and Liberator who had struck the fence hard, half a dozan lengths away. Mutiny continued to show the way past the kennels, where Booties refused and Liberator moved np again. At the top tnrn Mutiny was still well In front of the others, of whom Norton was now second and bard ridden, with Liberator third. Once in the straight Norton nnd Liberator were both beaten, and Mutiny jumping tbe last fence with a clear lead went on and won by five lengths from Rosdua, with Norton, who palled np 20 lengths away, third, just in front of Liberator, while Chiyptal was tbe only other horse to finish. At the kennels Glengarrie moved up and took command, but Rawai was iv front agiiu at the top turn, and holding his position to the fiuish won easily by four lengths in front of Glen, garrle, who was six lengths io front of Armstrong, with Pastime fourth, Victor fifth, and lon, Lascar, and Blackbird following iv the order named.
