NEW SOUTH WALKS.

Sydney, Thursday. At a meeting of tbe Cabinet tbia afternoon the following ten appointments were made to the Legislative Council :— Meun Baokhoaie, Blankaby, Ketbel, Leea, D. O'Connor, Palaford, Hnghes, Callen, Jago-Smlth, and Fowler, The Farmers' Conference) with two dissentient*, carried a resolution disapproving of the removal of the grain dadea and the imposition of the land tax
The annual stock report shows that at the end of 1894 there were 56,977.000 sheep in the colony, of which 1,010,000 were loogwools. Of the latter 657,000 were Unoolns and 330,000 Lelcesders. The average peroent&ge of lomblne in the whole colony was 63. The cost of improvements display some large figures. The item of fencing amounts to £65,368.000 and water storage to £13,274,000,
