TAR ANAKI PETROLEUM.
New Plymouth, Saturday. Great interest was taken in town today abont the petroleum finds, and a considerable number of shares were applied lor. Indications of petroleum are being found in all directions, the excitement in town causing many country people to search for indications, Messrs Samuel and Fair are now io Auckland, ond will leave for Sydney per Rotomahana. Immediately tbe company is formed in Sydney, in about three weeks' time, several bores will be started simultaneously.
