VICTORIA.
Melbourne, Thursday. The Premier, Mr Tauter, denies the truth of the rumor that Mr Eddy waa offered a very large salary to undertake the management of the Victorian railway! for two years and endeavor to set them la order. A bill substantially reducing the jury fees, and providing for trial by judge alone in the event of litigants not paying the jary fees, has passed through Committee In the Legislative Assembly.
