RIFLE SHOOTING.

The Napier Naval Artillery Volunteers will hold their annual prize-firing on January 30th, commencing at 8 a.m. Any member not arriving on the range by 9 a m., arid falling to give notice, will be disqualified, but any member Who through work is nnable to be present by the above hour mast give cotice in writ* iDg to that effect to the secretary of the corps at least 24 hours before the shooting commences, when the time will be extended nntil 2 pm, Ammunition will be supplied by the committee on the range, for which the sum of 2a will be charged, and any member having ammunition in bis possession other than that purchased on the rnDgc will be disqualified, At the conclusion of the prizefiring the 10 highest torers from scratch will fire for the company's Challenge Cap, 10 shots at 500 yards. A most liberal prize-llet) has been arranged. The thanks of the corps are due to Messrs James Koss and M. O'Cannell, who have issued the following handicaps : —
