Acceptances for handicaps and Entries for other events (accompanied by fees and colors or tartans) to be in the handsof the Secretary, at the Masonlo Hotel, Napier, by 9 p.m. on THURSDAY, 24th January, 1895. Nominations for handicap events must bo accompanied by colors and a record of previous performances. Any competitor found guilty ot sending in false Performances, running under an assumed namo, or practising any fraud, shall be disqualified. The Committee rcservo tho right to require any competitor, either beloro or after any event, tomake adeclaration as to his identity and the correctness of his description of his Performances. Tho Committee may disqualify any competitor before or after any ovont who shall refuse to raako the required declaration, and ho shall not be entitled to claim any prize. \ The particular attention of competitors fs drawn to the following Rule :— " Evory competitor must wear comploto clothing from tnb BhouUlers to thoknoes ; that is jorsoy (eleevml to elbow), and loose drawers or trunks. Neglect of this Rule renders tho competitor liable to be excluded from taking part in the Sports. In case of disputes all protests must be inado in writing and handed to the .Secretary Within 16 minutes after the evont, accompanied by a deposit of ss, which shall be forfeited if the protest la found to be frivolous or vexatious. Tho decision of the Jndges shall be final in every case. Events will be decided strictly in accordance with tho Society's Rules and Conditions ot Competition. The N.Z.
