The weekly returns ot tbe Bank of England, published to-day, show the total reserve to be £26,202,000, and the proportion of reserve to liabilities is 62'62 per cent.

At the wool sales an excellent catalogue was submitted, and there was the keenest competition, especially for beet lots, which tbe Americans bought. Frenoh buyers are increasing their purchases.
