Tho Southern Cross left Auckland a fortnight Snce for Norfolk Island, and was seven days -OTmlngfrom there to Napier, haying tail wither and light winds most of the way. Thesohoonerisa three-masted one, and furnished with auxiliary steam engtaes. and looked a very handsome model as she lay at the anchorage. It was not generally known ttab she was coming here, and as It was her flnt visit to Napier there were many conjeetare3a¥to her Identity. The Union Company's |s.s. Talune arrived from Sydney and Northern ports yesterday moraine, and was tendered by the b.b. Ahunrl. She reports too weather. Tho outward passengers went off at 2p.m., and at 4 p.m, the Talune steamed for Wellington. The b.b. Aswanley would arrive last night, and will be ready to work this morning at taking in cargo.
