There must -be a marked change in the , sphere of .the Agent-General's operations, which shonld be leas diplomatic and, display more commercial activity.- ' JThe Minister for Public. Works states that between £300,000. and £400.000 .will be spent on roads in the colony within the next three months. -
The Government is sending an expert irrigationht to Bourke to plot out 400 acres in the vicinity of the artefian born in 20-aore farms. The Government will also establish ou experimental farm to establish the beat methods of irrigation.
