Sib,— l see that the bot fly is a great plague in Hawke's Bay. Has anyone ever tried siDgelng to destroy the ova? la England of coarse a horse is tinged after clipping, in order to make a clean job of it. I should think that if horses jwete — jwt up occasionally from the "puddock^ond had a naphtha lamp run over them, that' it wonld destroy the eggs, which seem extremely difficult to brush' - off. A beginner had better get a lesson from an experienced stableman, or possibly he might) set bis horse on fire, — I am, &0,, Henky W. Nesfibld. January 15, 1895.
