PUKBBOU (SCHOOL. The inspector sent in the following report on the seeommodation of the above school, in reply to a request for increased room ; At the date of my visit to this school 50 pupils were entered as attending, and 11 were present at inspection. The room is capable of acoommodaling 30 pupils. A small anteroom is attached to the main building, and this ia used for the instruction of the younger children. Unless the attendance has increased since my visit extra accommodation is hardly necessary if apparatus is provided for the small room where the younger children ire instructed. In a note which I appended to my inspection report bearing the date of April 20th X called attention to the fact that pupils were attending the school above the third standard. In my opinion it would lie much bet ter for all concerned were the children above standard 111. required to attend the Havelock school, where there ia ample accommodation. Mo pupil teacher would bo wanted at Pukehoti were this arrangement earned out, nor would further assistance be necessary at Havelock. It wag decided to send the report to the Pnkehon comrnitte and ask if they acquiesced in the Inspector's remarks. AftCtaWX'T's REPORT.
