Messrs Hnddatt, Paiker and Co.'s steamer Miowers, which left Sydney for Vancouver on September 19th, ran on the rocks at the entrance to HonoJaln harbor ad 8 o'clock on the nighl of October 2ad, An Ameiican warship attempted to tow her off, but every attempt to move ber failed. The vessel is resting amidships, and hpr rodder post is gone. The steamer mokes little water. The tuga failed to move her, and bub faint hopes are enter* taiued of saving the ship, as she lies in a daogeroJs position, and will break up if bad neither is experienced. The cargo has been saved in good condition, and her supply cf coal jettisoned. Her mails and passeDge.-s have arrived in Sun Francisco. Mr Hnddart expect* to be abl« to maintain ao unbroken time-table. New York, October 18. Another Rio de Janeiro fort bob joined the rebels. The rebel warship Urano has been sunk In. Rio barbor.
