Sin, — Your Hastings correspondent has kindly given to the liiverslca hop gardens a local, hut be was in error in stating that Mr Piper informed him that hops were fetching from Is to Is Gd per Hi. What Mr Piper did nay was that they were lieing offered locally at the above prices. In England hops nre fetching from £8 to £15 per cwt. Therefore, in our way of calculating, .English prices read much more like Is 6d to 2s 9d per lb.— We nre, &c,
