(Hecoived April 30, noon.) Ottawa, April 29. The political predominance of the Unionist party in the Canadian Parlia- | inent has resulted in the passing of tin Extradition Bill under which criminal absconders from the United States will he prevented taking refuge in Canada. (Received April 30, 7.45 p.m.) A terrible railway accident ia reported as having occurred at Hamilton, situated at the western extremity of Lake Ontario. The latest news to hand respecting the occurrence states that an excursion train was thrown off the line, the carriages were telescoped, and almost immediately flames broke out in the wrecked train. Au awful scene ensued in consequence of there heine: a great number of excursionists travelling by the train. Many were killed and burned. No fewer than eighteen bodies, each burnt almost to a cinder, have been recovered. Twelve passengers sustained aevere injuries.
