Master, Ross, Matthews, 'Harrold. Doyle, Kennedy, Barry ; Constable Callon, and five stoeraste. April 22— Walroa, s.s., for Wairoa. Hyland and Smith, agents. April 22— Kahu, s.s., for coast and Wellington. Richardson and Co., agents. The s.s. Kahu, Captain Romerill, arrived from Wellington early on Saturday morning. She was berthed alongside tho breastwork and discharged her cargo, taking her departur« for the coast and Wellington and 9 p.m. last night. The s.B. Rotomahann, Captain M. Carey, from Sydney via the North, arrived in the bay at 12 p.m. She left Sydney at 5.30 p.m. on tho 12th, and arrived at Auckland at 6.30 p.m. on tho 16th; left Auckland nt noon on the 19th, arriving at Gisborno nt 18 n.m. on the 20th ; leftGißDorno at o p.m. on the same day, nnd arrived as above. Experienced lino weather throughout The Waibi with her outward moils and pnssongers left the breastwork at midnight on Saturday, and the Rotomahana took ncr doparturo for Melbourne via Southern ports shortly afterwards. Thu s.s. Wairoa returned to port on Saturday morning with tho natives who had. been left behind on Friday. She left ngam at 8 o'clock yesterday morning for Wairoa with a full cargo and soveral passengers. Tho Union Steamship Company's s.s. Mararon, from Molbournc via Southern ports, arrived in the roadstead nt 3.30 p.m. yesterday. She left WiUiamstown nt 3.15 p.m. on the 11th inst., called at Hobart on tho 13th, and reached the Bluff at 2 p.m. on the lGth ; called at Dunodin at 4.30 p.m. next day, and sailed from Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on tho r 19th ; called at Lyttolton on the 20th, aud Wellington on the 2lst, leaving the latter port at 8 p.m. same day. and arriving here as above. Experienced strong westerly winds from llolboumc to Dunedin, thence to arrival light vnriablo winds and flno weather. ( The entrance to tho Wairoa river is now opened again, and the s.s. Result will steam for that place to-night. The 5.3. Ahuriri tendered tho Mararoa for her cargo yesterday. It will bo landed on tho ireastwork to-day. The Tainui completed her loading' of frozen meat at 9 p.m. on Saturday. During her stay at this port she discharged JSO tons general cargo and Cement, nnd took in 120 bale 3of wool, a number of casks of tnllow, and besides frozen meat she also loaded a quantity of ( gross seed nnd sundries. Tho Ahuriri ran out the frozen meat, which comprised 6100 carcases ■ of mutton, 40 boxes of kidneys and tongues, i and 7 bags of native game. The exact timo it took to discharge and load the steamer, including meal honra and cleaning out the after freezing chamber, was 35 hours, which 1 was not bad work for an open rondstead, and speaks well for the stevedores and lighters' brigade.
