Mr Stevens' amendment) to tbe effect that - any future claim against the State on the part of the company should be barred, was after considerable discussion put and. carried on the' voices, and was inserted in the contract?;- The original motion of the Attorney-General, " That the CoutoVcil concur with- the resolutions of- the House with regard to the revised contract," 'was then carried on a division by 19 to 11. :; BILLS. The Public Proclamations Validation Bill was read a second time. The Qatnaru Harbor Board Loan Bill was partly considered in committee. The Council at 9.10 adjourned to next day.
