(Received November 29, 110 a.m.) [Delayed in transmission.] ' " Sydney, Monday. The cricket match between Vernon's eleven and an eleven of Sydney was continued to-day. Th« weather was fine and the play good, but there was only a poor attendance of spectators. With a score of 286 to their credit for the loss of five wickets the Englishmen continued their first innings, and succeeded in putting together a total of 340 before they wers all disposed of. In addition to the individual scores already reported Peel contributed 54, Newton 30, Vernon 3, Rawlin 4, Beaumont 2, Attewell (not out) 12. The local team followed on, and when time was called they had scored 186 for two wickets, towards which Macdonald contributed 112, Bannerman. 8, Moses (not out) 47, Allen (not out) 17, and extras 2. (Reoelved November 29, 12.10 p.m.) Tuesday. H.M.S.'s Nelson and Calliope will probably leave here for New Zealand in about ten days' time. (Received November 30, 1,30 a.m.) The cricket match between Vernon's team and eleven of Sydney was continued to-day, when Allen and Moses, the not; outs of the previous day, resumed their positions at the wickets. Allen added 17 to the score, and Moses 30 before f being given out. At the close of the day's play the local team had lost 9 wickets for 408 runs. The principal scorers to-day were Allen 34, Moses 77, Jones 65, Hiddleslon 37, Turner 32. The match will be continued to-mormr. *
