Captain Edio, arrived in tho roadstead at 8 o'clock yesterday morning from Melbourne via Southern ports. She was tendered immediately on arrival by the Waihi and tho Trusty for her cargo. Her outward passengers were taken off at op.m., and she stcamecishortly afterwards for North. The s.s. Result will leave on Wednesday night for Mohaka if sufficient inducement offers, Tho s.s. Kahu is to leave Lyttelton tomorrow night for this port via Wellington. Captain Plumley, late o£ tbe Go-ahead, which, it will bo remembered, was lost on this coast, has taken charge of tho steamer The s's>. Kiwi is to leave Wellington this evening for coast and Napier. „ m ,-j„ The schooner Rio will bo berthed alongside °The ketch Comet will sail in ballast today for Mercury Bay to load for-Lyttelton. The ship Crusader is to be tbe first snip to load wool and tallow for the Homo market from this port this season.
