Thomson, objecting to the Makarelu Koad Hoard guaranteeing a subsidy of £'2:> from thirds foi roadmaking. — Deferred pending the receipt of further information. From Mi- !». Heally, applying to lease section 53, block 7, AVoodville, hitherto a gravel reserve. —Section to be leased for 21 years, with conditions giving power to the local bodies interested to enter upon the land for gravel. From Mr A, Brown, stating that he had a claim of £52 10s against section (il, Maharahara, and asking if the Board would protect him if the sention were forfeited. — To be protected as far as possible. From Mr T. HalleM, applying to lease an area of about 3000 acres of Crown land on the Kaiwaka ranges.— Consideration of application postponed. From Mr if. Johnson, asking upon what, terms lie could purchase section 138, block 5, Ruataniwlm. The land to be thrown open for selection as soon as its value had been ascertained.

terms similar to those of the reply to Mi' Harding. From Mr T. E. Drill, Tarawcra, applying for permission to cut fencing material from a Government reserve to fence sections lately leased from the Board.— Agreed to, The remainder of the business was, of a routine character, consisting chiefly of the consideration of applications for extension of time in which to pay instalments duo, applications to pay Up balances of purchase moneys, and applications to transfer. Debatable matter was introduced in connection with opening up some Crown lands at Makaretu, but it was decided to postpone consideration till the next meeting, and the Board adjourned.
