Thursday, May 12. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. BILL PASSED. The Ward Conservation of Rights Bill , passed through its remaining stages. POST-OFFICE BILL. The Post-office Act Amendment Bill was read a first time. LIBRARY BUILDING. Mr Reynolds gave notice that he would move as an amendment to Major Baillie's motion for Tuesday, " That in thepresent state of the finances of the colony it is not prudent to make any provision for a new building for the library." The Council adjourned at 2.35 p.m. "
