Mararoa, Captain Edlc, arrived in the bay at 1.30 o'clock on Friday morning. She was tendered ns usual by I ho Boojum for passcngors and by thb SirDonaldfor cargo. Sholcft Sydney on the 10th. arrived at Auckland on the 2tst, sailed again on tho 22ud, and arrived at Gisborno on the 23rd ; remained tbero four hours, leaving for this port on Thursday, at 8 p.m., and arriving as above. Captain Edio reports having experienced strong head winds tho whole of tho passngo from Sydney to Napier. Tho Boojum took oif her outward passengers at 2 p.m., the vessel steaming on her voyage at 3 o'clock. Wo understand that sho is going on an excursion from Wellington to Pieton on Monday, Boxing Day. The Union Stenmship Company's steamors Manapoitri and Southern Cross will both bo in tho bay today. Tho lighters will have a. biißj r , if not a. merry, Christmas. Tho 'Ohau will arrive from Tininru direct to-morrow. Her departure for North has been postponed till Tuesday noxt at3p.m.
