VICTORIA.
(Received December 8, 1.15 p.m.) Melbourne, Wednesday. The Governments of Victoria and New South Wales have decided to reduce the terminal charges on ordinary telegrams ■ between Australia and New Zealand to sixpence; for each colony in place of a ~ shilling for the first ten words as at present. The change will take effect on January Ist. ' • 1 (Rocoived Decombor'9, 1.39 a.m.) . Messrs Goldsbrough and Co. held their usual weekly wool sale this afternoon. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was brisk. A catalogue of 7000 bales was offered, of .wliich 4100 bales were sold at prices, wliich are on.an equality with those realised at" the London sales. Greasy wool is Ad to lil lower; scoured from Id to lid loVer. In good greasy lambs and hglit crbssbreds there is no material change to report.
