Messrs Nelson Bros., Tomoann, have voceivod the following report from their London houso in reforenoo to Now Zealand frozen mutton under date October 22nd :— ■' Excessive depression has characterised the moat trade. ' Since our last some importer havo continued to sell primest New Zealand sheep at nominal rates, while a considerable quantity of mutton, out of condition, had also to bo disposed of. Wo aro Rlad to stato that all tlio more recent arrivals aro reported to bo sound and in gooa condition. Also that tho umisnally heavy shipments from tlio Rlvor Plato havo como to an end, so that stocks may now be taken to liavo reached their highest point. Trade continues extremely slow, but thero is a rather better feeling to-day ; 2s 5d to 2s Oil per 81b may be considered tho present prico of nvorogo New Zealand sheep, with 2a 8d neic Sib as highest value. Lamb 3 are not in demand, and prices remain quite nominal.
