(Rceoivcd August 27, 0.10 a.m.)
Melbourne, Thursday. A deputation waited to-day upon tho Commissioner of Trade and Customs to urge tho abolition, of tho gristing ■of oats, similarly to that of wheat, in bond. The. Commissioner argued that there 'was no parallel between wheat and oats, unless it was shown that the importation of the latter from New Zealand affected the price" of Victorian oats. He promised, however, to consider the representations made by the deputation.
