Wilson, of the West Clive general store, announces the receipt of new homoeopathic remedies and vegetable and garden seeds. Particulars are inserted respecting the addresses, &c., at the Theatre Royal in connection with Mrs Leavitt's mission. This evening and on Wednesday and Friday evenings a special train will leave Hastings at 6.45, returning after the performance at the Theatre Royal. * Mr Joseph Mayo, family grocer, announces that he has leased the premises in the Shakespeare-road lately occupied by Mrs T. Plynn. Mr D. J. Joll, Hastings, has for sale section No. 5 in the Heretaunga special settlement. The finder of a leather pocket-book containing money will receive £3 reward on returning the same to the Herald office. The " Silver King" will be repeated at the Theatre RoyaL this evening for the

The first meeting of the session of the Sawke's Bay Philosophical Institute will be held next Monday evening in the room of the Chamber of Commerce, Browningatreet. Messrs Blythe and Co. advertise ladies' fur caps, cheap. Mr James S. Large, Hastings-street, issues a handbill with to-day's Herald respecting pianos on deferred payments, &c Messrs Hardy and Sidey advertise a splendid assortment of fire-guards, nursery fenders, ashpan and coal scoops, fenders and fireirons. A meeting in connection with the Taradale and Hastings Ploughing Match Society will be held at the Greenmeadows Hotel on the 11th inst. Several new advertisements of vacant situations are inserted in the "wanted" column on the front page.
