NEW SOUTH WALES.
(Received April 22, 5 p.m.) Sydney, Wednesday. The thirteenth annual report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society was issued this afternoon. The new business acquired during the past year comprises 8866 policies, assuring £2,962,402. The new premium income amounts to I £106,304. The accumulated funds of the society amount to £5,371,466, and the total annual income to £1,074,952. The report of the actuary on the first annuaL division of profits shows a cash surplus fo Ar the year of £411,847, of which £262,434^ will be divided amongst the policyholders. It is intended that in f ature the bonuses shall become available after the policies have endured two years, and surrender values be paid after a similar period hss elapsed.
