The Union Steamship Company's 8.8. Wairarapa, Captain Chatflold, left Auckland at 2.30 p.m. yesterday, and is due here at daylight to-morrow morning. She will be tendered >y the Boojum for mails and passengers and the lighters for inward cargo. Messrs Johnston and Co.'s s.s. Go-ahead, Captain P. Doile, is telegraphed as having left Castlepoint for this place at 10.30 yesterday inorniner, and should be in onr roadstead early this morning. She brings a quantity of transhipments ex Opawa from London, and will leavo for South again in the afternoon. The Union Steamship Cotnpany'B steam launch Boojum was taken oil' the hard in the Iron Pot early yesterday morning. In addition to the other repairs she has undergone she has been fitted with a Bcrew shaft and steam brush fooin M'Knight's foundry at the Spit. The s s. Bella has been fitted with a new boiler from M'Knight's foundry. We may mention that it is the first that has been made in Hawke's Bay, and will increase the steaming power of the boat very considerably. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross left Wellington at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and may be looked for here about noon today. Should she catch the tide she will leave for the North at G p.m. this evening. The pilot at Wairoa still reports a bad bar, consequently debarring the Wairoa from getting out.
