MR M. R. MILLER'S LETTER |ON FREIGHT.

Sib, — With regard td Mr Miller's statement in his letter about my opening up the question of freights "after Mr Kinross left the chair and the room," I can only say there were gentlemen present at the meeting who were aware of my intention to speak upon the subject previous to Mr Kinross having left the chair. Mr Kinross was called away, and he renuested Mr .Lyndon to fill his place. I mention this because Mr Miller's statement seems to imply that I seized the opportunity of Mr Kinross's absence to bring the matter up, which was not the case. I need scarcely add that the meeting had not concluded when I spoke. — I am, &c., J. S. Large. _— ft— ■■— ————_! — M— -_^_—
