The p. s. Maaaia, Captain W. E. Baxter, left for Wairoa at 6 o'clock yesterday morning, taking a number of passengers and a full cargo. The 8 s. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, brought up in the roadstead from Wellington via the coast at 6 o'clock yesterday morning, and was brought inside and moored to the breastwork about 11 a.m., when she commenced discharginar her cargo of transhipments ex ships unloading at Wellington from the Old Country, but owing to the rain commg on in the afternoon work had to be desisted. The following is a report of her passage -.—Left Wellington at 9 o'clock on Tnesday eveninar, worked at Caetlepoint next day, and tnen left for Akiteo, which place she worked the same night ; discharged nest morning, and went on to Cape Turnagain the same day, and arrived here as stated above. She will put out the remaining portion of the Napier Rtnff thiß morning, after which fihe will leave for Wellington. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Captain Carey, will arrive here about noon to-day from Melbourne via Southern ports and Wellington. The 8.8. Boojnm will attend for passengers and mails, and the lighters for 30 sheep and some 70 tons of cargo. The outward passengers will be taken off at 7 o'clock this evening, and the Rotomahana will shortly afterwards proceed on her course to Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. The s.s. Maori, Captain H. Andersen, steamed for the Wairoa last evening, taking a number of pas. sengers and a good cargo of general stores. The Union Steamship Company s 8.8. Waihora, Captain Edie, will be in the roadstead at daylight this morning from Auckland and Poverty Bay. She will be tendered at the usnal time for passengers and mails and the lighters will take in her cargo, which consists of over 100 tons. The outward passengers will leave the wharf at 2 p.m., and the Waihora will Bteam for Melbourne via Wellington and Southern ports later on.
