» Herald Office, Saturday evening. Messrs Hoadley and Lyon report :— We hod a good attendance at our weekly sheepskins, hide, and tallow sale held this morning. Prices were not quite equal to last week, and the skins as a whole not such good quality. 1253 sheepskins, 9 bags and 2 bales pieces and locks; 3 hides, and 2 bags rough fat were catalogued and all sold as follows: — Sheepskins — Merino, good, s|d, 6d, 6|d, 6Jd, 6Jd, medium, 4d, sd, s|d, pelts, 2id, 3 jd, per lb ; crossbred, good, s}d, s|d, Gd 6id, 6|d, 6|d, 6|d, 6|d, 7id, medium, 4Jd, sd, s|d, pelts. 2|d, 2|d, per lb. Locks— ld, 2d; pieces, 3*d, 4d, sid, per lb. Hides-light, 10s. We have 250 bales of wool already catalogued for our sale next Saturday, and are open to receive lots up till Wednesday evening for that sale. Messrs H. Monteith and Co. report .—At our weekly sale of wool, skins, and produce at the Bazaar on Friday there was a good attendance of buyers. We sold at the following prices :— Oats, 2s sd; maize, 2s Cd; chick barley, 2s; chaff, 6-t; bran, £410s; bacon, 4£d per lb. There were 350 sheepskins forward which were all cleared out at satisfactory prices according to quality. Our Saturday's sale at the Horse Bazaar was well attended. There were 18 horses, and some saddles, harness, &c, offered. Few of the horses left the yard unsold, prices ruling a shade better than they have been for the past few weeks. Our quotations in the horse market are as follows -. — Heavy draughts, £37 to £45; medium do, £25 to £30; light harness, £14 to £18; good hacks, £16 to £32; station do, £7 to £10.
