Level agricultural bush land, with the exception of Sections 22 and 29, Block 111., which contain hilly pastoral land. The soil is a loam on a sandy clay subsoil. The forest contains tlie.ordinary mixed timber trees, but there is no totara. The block is sit\iated three miles to the west of Norsewood, at the foot of the Euahine Mountains. The distance from Napier is 65 miles by rail to Ormondville, thence through Norsewood by a dray road 7£ miles. The main and cross roads have been cleared and partly formed through the block, a distance of 4 miles. CONDITIONS. the land. One-third of the payments made by selectors will be from time to time handed over to the County Council or Road Board of the district within which the land is situated, to bo expended in the construction of roads within, or to open up, the block for the benefit of the selectors. A deposit of one-twentieth of the price of the land to be tendered with the application. Tho right to occupy those sections for which more than one application has been received on the 18th day of November will be decided by auction, limited to the applicants, at the Crown Lands Office, Napier, at 11 a.m. on SATUEDAY, the 20th day of November, 1880. IMPROVEMENTS. Selectors must bring into cultivation not less than one-tenth of the area before the end of the second year, not less than one-fifth before the end of the fourth year, and within six years must have cultivated one-fifth and effected permanent improvements to the value of £1 for every acre. The selector has the option at any time after the first three years of discharging all his obligations by paying up the balance of the purchase money in one. payment, provided he has completed the necessary improvements.
