THE LONDON WOOL EXHIBITION.

" Anglo-Indian " in the European Mail says : — Following up the remarks in my last in reference to the exhibition of wool to be held in the Crystal Palace in June of next year, I have now to state that the directors have resolved very wisely that no charge shall be made to exhibitors for space and that medals aud certificates will be awarded by competent jurors. An instructive portion of the exhibition will be that in which the process of woollen manufactures will be shown, and for this purpose the directors will furnish motive power free of cost, but where driving belts, connections, or attachments are required these must be made at the expense of the exhibitors. Should any of my colonial friends be desirous of applying for space they must send full particulars of the space required and of the objects intended to be shown to the Superintendent before January 1, 1881, and, after careful consideration, due notice will be given to the applicants whether any and what space can be granted them. This notice is rather short for intending exhibitors in Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, and Fiji, but there can be no doubt that the time would be extended to meet special cases, as the directors will be anxious to haye exhibits from those important and rising centres of trade. A date will shortly be fixed when goods, with freight and. all charges paid, must be delivered,

and I should add that the cases must be addressed to the Superintendent, International Exhibition Department, Crystal Palace, bearing some mark or number, and accompanied with a detailed invoice of the contents. On its receipt the cases will bo handed over to tho duly-authorised agent of the exhibitor to open and arrange, it being understood that the Superintendent must be advised before April 1, 1881, by the exhibitor of the name and standing of the agent he has appointed. As it may happen that some exhibitois will not care to go to the trouble and expense of employing an agent, it is understood that the Superintendent, if advised on this point before April 10, will employ somo official to give information, who will instal and arrange the goods at the exhibitor's charge. All show cases and stands must be erected at the charge of the exhibitor — the company will not bo responsible for loss or damage. Information for the official catalogue must be furnished before March 1, 1881, and exhibitors must conform to all the rules laid down by the directors.
