Nomination, 2sovs, addressed to tho Secretary, to be left at the Criterion Hotel by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 25th May. Weights will be declared on Thursday, Ist July. Acceptance, with ssovs, on or before Tuesday, 20th July. Sweep on night of general entry. MAIDEN PLATE of 50sovs; distance, 1± miles ; weight for age. Winner of the Hawke's Bay Guineas to carry 71b penalty. Open to all horses that at time of entry have never won an advertised race exceeding £25 in value. Entrance, 3sovs. SELLING HACK RACE of 20sovs. Distance, 1 mile. Winner to be sold for 15sovs, any surplus to go to the funds. Catch weights ; post entrance, 2sovs. FLYING HANDICAP of 60sovs, with a sweepstakes of 2sovs each to go to second hor3e. Distance, £ mile. Nomination, 2sovs, addressed to the Secretary, to be left at the Criterion Hotel by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 25th May. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all cJaims, dis.putes, and objections arising shall be decided l»y the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision \ipon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of ssovs, which sum will be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. General entries and nominations will be received by the Secretary, at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, up to S p.m. Tuesday, 21stSeptember ; no qualification fee. The Committee reserve the right to alter the date of the Meeting in the event of the H.B. Agricultural and Pastoral Society holding their Annual Show on any days ether than, the sth and Gth Ocfcobei-, it being intended to hold the Races the day after the Show. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from tho gross amount of all stakes.
