VICTORIA.
Melbouene, Thursday. A mass meeting of Liberals was held last night, when speeches were made by Mr J. K. Vale, Sir Brian O'Loghlen, and Mr Graham Barry. The proceedings were of an orderly character. Saturday has beett proclaimed a public holiday in Victoria. The Chief Justice charged the jury in the prosee'u'tidn of the Director's 1 of the Provincial and Suburban Bank, and then allowed them to be set free until tomorrow.
