The s.s. Southern Cross left Wellington at a late hour on Saturday night for tins port. She will bo brought inside the first tiling this morning, and will immediately start discharging cargo, of which she has about 80 tons. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, steamed for Wellington, via the coast, at 2 p.m. on Saturday. She has a'oni-d about 30 tons of station stores for the coast. The schooner Mary Wadley, Captain J. Ballc, sailed for Greymouth, in ballast, on Saturday morning. All the lighters are loaded with wool for the ships in the roadstead., and it is to be hoped that the sea will havo gono down sufficiently to enable them to deliver the same today. The barque Helen Denny, Captain Ruth, is expected to be loaded by the end of this woek or the beginning of next week. The barque Wainiea, Captain Mathers, is also rapidly filling up, and will not be long after the Denny. The Helen Denny will be the first wool ship of the season from New Zealand.
