SiE.-^-Inl'refereilceto. the supposed,complications preventing the erecting of a school-house at Te Aute, I beg to state that whan the Inspector of Schools first visited the place the proposed site for the building was under lease, : but since; that time the difficulty has been removed. About two months "sinee 1 -a-- tender was accepted for building the school, but it appears that no 1 mention was made that the. .ground would, require filling in before the "coriiJraetor would commence his work, and consequently when , the. . contractor saw the site the building was t6 be erected upon he communicated with the inspector and acquainted him with it. I also wrote to the .inspector , on the : same -, subject, but have Tiad no reply. 1 The ground I agrccdJo give the Board (adjoining that presented by Mr H.
