The Union Company's s.s. Hawea, Captain Kennedy, arrived 'here yesterday morning at 9 o'clock; . after a " fine weather passage. She left Port Chalmers on Friday last at 2.15 p.m., and arrived at-Lyttelton on Saturday at 7.50 a.iri. ; 'sailed again at 9 p.m., arriving in Wellington on Sunday nt 1 o'clock ; left ngiin on Monday at 2.15 p.m., and arrived here as above. The Hawea had a cargo of 45 tons, which she discharged into the lighter Adamant. She leffc for Northern ports at 6 p.m. with a few passengers. We have to thank Mr A. Dalgleish, the purser, for report and files.

The s.s. Clyde steamed tor Wairoa at an early hour yesterday morning with a good cargo and a few passengers. The s.s. Reßult was to leavo for Wairoa at an early hour this morning. The p.s. Manaia has been thoroughly overhauled, painted, and cleaned, and. is now ready to resume her old trade. She leaves for Wairoa to-night, and we have, to wish her charterers' success in this enterprise. The" s.s. Kiwi may be looked for from Wellington, via the coast, some time to-day. The s.s; Sir Donald left for Wainiarama at a late' hour on Monday night. The-s.s. Mohaka cleared at the Customs yesterday for Mohaka with a full general cargo/. The barque Examiner sailed from Greymouth.on Monday with a cargo of 310 tons coal, consigned to the Napier Gas Company.
