SETTLERS' RACE— A Cup the value of £15 ; 1 mile ; open to all horses in the district of Petane ; weight for age. PUBLICANS' PURSE HANDICAP, of 50 soys ; 2 miles ; with a sweep of 1 soy each (for starters) to go to second horse ; nominations 3 soys ; acceptance 2 soys ; nominations addressed to the Secretary, enclosing 3 soys to be sent to the Petane Hotel by 8 p.m. on Monday ,lst December. Weights will be declared on Friday, 12th December. Acceptance 2 soys, with 1 soy sweep, on -Monday, 22nd December. HACK RACE, of 10 sovs; lmile ; no horse to carry less than 10 stone ; post entry. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 10 soys ; 1 mile. Entrances to be 10 per cent on public money given ; no qualification fee necessary. All entries received shall be subject to the decision of the stewards. Three horses to be entered for each race or no public money shall be given. All protests must be accompanied with £1 deposit.to be forfeited in the event of being of a frivolous nature.
