ST. MARY'S BOARDING AND DAY SCHOOL, MEANEE. THE additions to this Boarding Establishment being now completed, increased accommodation is provided for a number of Boarders. .. The bed-rooms are spacious and well ventilated. The school-room, which measures 46 feet by 24 feet, is ventilated on Tobin s principle, and has an ample supply of maps, charts, and scientific diagrams. Attached to tho School is a large playground, about one acre in extent. The Institution is under the control and supervision of the Rev. Father Reigner, who has spared no expense in providing for the health and comfort of the boarders. Tho Catholic boys receive religious instruction throe times per week in the church from the resident priest, but in no case is the faith of non-Catholic boarders interfered with. The subjects taught comprise English Grammar and Composition, History, Bookkeeping, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry— including Practical Geometry and Mensuration. The following examinations have been passed by Dr. Thomas :— Licentiate Royal College of Physicians, London, 1864 : Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, London, 1559 ; Doctor of Medicine, University of Gressen, Germany, 1871; Licentiate in Midwifery, College of Surgeons, London 1864. Patients residing in the neighboring cclonies can consult Tr Thomas by letter. These consultations will meet with his immediate and careful attention, and will be replied to by return steamer, coach, or rail.
